We aim to provide a wide range of complementary therapy subjects with small classes of between 4 – 8 learners, offering an exciting, dynamic and thoroughly enjoyable learning experience for all students .
Our mission is to achieve this by encouraging education for massage and body work with a cognitive approach to achieve positive progress towards chosen goals.

Susan Lesley RichardsonFounder Director, Lead Tutor

Since 1994 and with over 30 years experience she has developed and refined her understanding of a wide variety of bodywork and massage therapies to offer a creative and intuitive approach which is personalised to the needs of each person.

Her natural creativity has encouraged her to find new ways to teach and enhance motivation and elevate moods, uplifting and empowering both individuals and the groups she teaches.

Susan teaches a range of techniques and disciplines not only to resolve physical problems but also to release tension and to help to lift mood. Stimulating the senses: touch, massage and body work can increase the effectiveness of consciously applying awareness or mindful attention to our behaviour, actions, thoughts and feelings that may sabotage or encourage our learning / healing process. which plays an important role in cognitive function.

Alison Kay

Alison Kay has been a self employed Complementary Therapist for 15 years.  After initially starting off by achieving a massage qualification, this ignited a passion for complementary therapy and wellbeing which has grown and evolved over the years to enable her to gain qualifications and experience in many other therapies enabling her to provide tailored treatments to suit her clients’ individual requirements. Her enthusiasm for her work also extended to sharing her knowledge with others, so in 2010 she began teaching at two local colleges, whilst herself studying to become a fully qualified teacher. She now teaches ITEC and City and Guilds Level 3 Diplomas in Reflexology, Holistic Massage and Indian Head Massage whilst also running her own busy practice.

Her current interests include learning more about health and nutrition and also practicing mindfulness.

Alison is looking forward to being involved with Innersights and to have the opportunity to share some of her knowledge with those eager to learn the beautiful art of Reflexology, Massage and Bodywork.

Mario Paul is a registered Osteopath and has run his own practice for many years. He has recently given up full time osteopathy but continues his work doing locum cover for other osteopaths. Mario Paul is also an established tutor of Massage, Bodywork and Sports Injuries having had his own school (The Massage and Bodywork Institute) and held teaching posts in a number of colleges.

He has written many articles and several books on Massage and Bodywork, the latest being Handbook of Clinical Massage published by Elsevier. With the aim of establishing very high standards in massage tuition Mario Paul founded and was first chairman of the Association of Physical and Natural Therapists in 1986. This was followed by becoming the co-founder and first chairman of the British Massage Therapy Council. He welcomes the changes that have taken place in massage tuition over the years and the good standards that are now the norm for many colleges.
