The main aim of the ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Lymphatic Drainage Massage is to enable candidates to gain the practical and theoretical skills necessary to provide Lymphatic Drainage treatments for the purposes of relaxation, stress release and to aid the reduction of excess fluid.
It covers how to provide a full body lymphatic drainage massage which will be demonstrated by students in the practical exam. In practice lymphatic drainage is normally only applied to part of the body that has specific drainage problems.

It is useful in a number of situations including:

  • Following an injury were swelling may become a problem
  • Following cosmetic surgery were it will minimise scarring and will speed recovery
  • It can also be used following other types of surgery
  • Clients that have had cancer treatment often develop swelling which can be improved

The course also include the theory associated with the lymphatic and immune system to provide students with the under pinning knowledge to provide treatments.
